Author Guidelines

These guidelines are intended to assist authors in preparing and submitting manuscripts to the Scholaria International Journal of Research. Authors are requested to follow the journal's manuscript preparation, submission, authorship, and publication ethics requirements. The applicable editorial policies will govern the evaluation and processing of submitted manuscripts.

1. Co-author Communication and Authorship

The corresponding author should provide accurate and complete information for all authors, including their full names, institutional affiliations, and appropriate contact details. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript and consented to its submission.

Any proposed change to authorship after submission, including the addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors, must be communicated to the editorial office with a clear explanation and the required written consent from all affected authors. The journal's authorship policy will determine how such requests are reviewed and processed.

Authors may recommend potential peer reviewers where permitted by the journal. Recommended reviewers must be independent of the authors and must not have personal, professional, institutional, or financial conflicts of interest that could compromise an impartial assessment.

2. Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  1. The manuscript follows the journal's prescribed formatting, structure, referencing style, and submission requirements.
  2. Citations to unpublished work are clearly identified. Relevant supporting documents should be provided when requested and when sharing is permitted.
  3. The manuscript contains sufficient methodological detail, data descriptions, and supporting information to enable readers to assess the validity and reproducibility of the reported findings.
  4. A cover letter summarizes the manuscript, explains its significance, and describes its relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
  5. Any recommended reviewers are qualified to evaluate the research and are free from relevant conflicts of interest. Reviewer recommendations remain subject to editorial assessment.
  6. All co-authors have approved the final manuscript and authorized its submission.
  7. Required declarations, permissions, ethical approvals, consent statements, and supplementary files are included where applicable.

3. Manuscript Submission

Authors should submit manuscripts using the submission channel officially designated by the journal. The following materials may be required, subject to the journal's confirmed submission procedure:

  • Cover letter
  • Manuscript prepared according to the journal's guidelines
  • Copyright or publication agreement, where applicable
  • Figures, tables, and supplementary files, where applicable
  • Ethical approval, informed consent, permissions, and relevant declarations, where applicable

Authors should ensure that submitted files are complete, readable, and consistent with the information provided in the manuscript.

4. Editorial Screening

Submitted manuscripts may undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with submission requirements, originality, research quality, and suitability for further consideration. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements may be declined at this stage.

5. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation may be sent to independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise, in accordance with the journal's established peer-review policy. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's scholarly merit, reviewer feedback, and the journal's editorial criteria.

The peer-review model, reviewer selection procedure, confidentiality requirements, and expected review timeline should be followed as specified in the journal's official Peer Review Process policy.

6. Ethical Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, appropriately referenced, and prepared in accordance with applicable research integrity and publication ethics standards. Any potential conflicts of interest, funding sources, use of human or animal participants, and relevant ethical approvals must be disclosed where applicable.

7. Copyright and Publication

Copyright, licensing, publication charges, access conditions, and other publication terms are governed by the journal's official policies. Authors should review these terms before submitting their manuscripts and before accepting any publication agreement.

8. Contact and Further Information

For submission instructions and editorial enquiries, authors should consult the journal's official website and use the contact details published and verified by the editorial office.
